Last year we misjudged the technicality and difficulty of this hike. We started late, we wasted time avoiding getting wet, and as a result we only made it 7 km up the canyon before we had to make the call to set up camp before we got stuck hiking in the dark. This year we weren't going to make those mistakes again! We met at the store at 4AM (this meant a few of our Saskatoon adventurers were up before 3!). Back in October of 2020, I was invited to ride the Grey Owl's Trail in Prince Albert National Park. I remember thinking, "It's a hiking trail; how hard could it be?" I even invited a friend along who hadn't ridden a bike in years prior to that morning (I still feel bad about that one).
